  2. pamlovsy2j says:

Man they’re really good at that. They must have a lot of patience.

What about the opportunity cost of cutting all those coupons and doing all the calculations. They would have to be damn efficient in this process to actually have a net savings.

  4. SSFwinner says:

May I be frank? First, should we really be put in the position of using coupons to buy our food? Are we really as dumb as sheep? Are we all missing the point here? When was the last time you got a raise at your JOB (Just Over Broke)? When was the last time your boss offered you the opportunity to make more than them? When was the last time you took a vacation, including a wkd and never had to charge it? Trading time for dollars is dead but dollars for dollars dot com is a very real solution

  7. kmodek says:

    Who buys beets and sauerkraut?

  8. gblueslover2 says:

@MavinOfSavin I’m WAY cheaper than THIS. When We got married, we held the reception in the isles of Costco, where all kinds of food was served, for FREE, and I told them they could eat as much as they wanted. Of course, My family goes there 3 times per week and STILL eats for free, and yes, I do make purchases there too!

@ArkhamCXVII I don’t give a shit if I piss people off like you. In fact, I find it funny. I was stating an opinion. You need to calm down. If you don’t like what I have to say, simply don’t comment! Have a nice life!

  11. ArkhamCXVII says:

@BandGeek827 Wow. Cashiers like you piss me off. It’s your job and you do it buy the hour. You’re not going to get out of there any faster if she had items and coupons or if instead you ring two people with just items. I worked in a grocery store too and I didn’t mind checking the wording on coupons because that was part of what I was PAID for.

  12. ArkhamCXVII says:

    @thoughtputty

I’d point out that it seemed like they shopped decently. From this an other videos (such as one where Annette asks for the nutrition label over the walkietalkie) and the fact that they were buying canned beets for when “fresh produce runs out towards the end of the month.” They bought meats and fresh produce and whole wheat bread and cereal, stuff that most of us buy. I didn’t see anything they bought that it seemed like they were “sacrificing” health.

It looks like they are sacrificing health to eat on the cheap.

  18. indigopolarbear says:

I feel bad for the kids. They have to eat beets and sauerkraut.

  19. Jimmyjoeandthegang says:

    those cheap bastards

  20. acasouk says:

Unfortunately I do not eat ANY of that crap they just bought

  21. MavinOfSavin says:

@married1959 good guess, but it is a local Arizona grocer— Bashas.

  22. kevico2 says:

Any suggestions for Canadians? We don’t have “double coupons” days… PLUS, a lot of the savings (coupons)we have with each and every item, we still need to pay taxes on them. What’s your suggestions other than what’s mentioned on this video?

  23. UcanbeGOD says:

I am still looking for the mayo lol

  24. MavinOfSavin says:

@missionaryoffaith Don’t know about genetically modified foods. We grow a lot of our own produce and fruits and stay away from prepared foods.

  25. MavinOfSavin says:

@married1959 good guess, but it is an Arizona based store — Bashas’. We don’t always shop there, but this particular week they had some great loss-leaders.

Shop the best sales and save!
