When it companies to jewelry, many companies offer a wide variety of of choices. There is no doubt that whatever you are looking for it is out there.

And just when you thought the options were limiteless, companies combine to create an even more wide variety to choose from. Takes for instance, pearl necklace manufacturer Mikimoto and designer Yohji Yamamoto. Betsy Kroll of Time Magazine reports “the two will produce a collection of jewelry for retail. This is the first such partnership for Mikimoto in its 114 year history. The new collection will be called Stormy Weather and include the three subcategories Moon, Drops, and Le Cri.”

So what is in a design? Apparently quite a bit if you hit designing on the head like jeweler Palona Picasso. Picasso was recently hired by Tiffany & Co. to design a setting for an exhibition of theirs.

But if you are like most of us, you are designing jewelry for Tiffany or merging with major suppliers, you simply want to wear something that is eleggant to look at, pleasing to the eye and enhances your wardrobe. Linda Cahan, of Gifts & Decorative Accessories, says, “as a storeowner , it is hard to display different items that can have the overall look and feel of the store, yet at the same time have enough of a variety to offer the general public.”
